Choi Kang Ho then comes home and rescues her despite not being able to walk. He promises his mother that he will be a great son, and pleads with her not to leave him behind.

In the second half of the drama, Choi Kang Ho learns that he's the father of Lee Mi Joo's (Ahn Eun Jin) twin children.
