Kim Byung Chul dominated prime time earlier this year with his comical and endearing side through "Doctor Cha."

The actor created a massive buzz during the drama's entire run, establishing his name in the acting scene. He also gained a huge following among viewers around the world.

Unbeknownst to many, Kim Byung Chul has been in the industry for two decades. It wasn't until 2015 that he penetrated the competitive scene through his unforgettable role in Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo's "Descendants of the Sun."

Since then, he has appeared in high scale works like "Goblin," "SKY Castle," "Mr. Sunshine," "Doctor Prisoner" and "All of Us Are Dead."

The 50-year-old actor bared his soul and openly talked about his hardships in the field. According to him, he has lived in his parents' home for 10 years during his time as a rookie actor.

While working as an actor, he earned money by doing part-time jobs like an after-school theater professor at an elementary school. This also affected his perspective in relationships.

At the moment of this writing, Kim Byung Chul still has no ring on his finger. However, his career continues to skyrocket, much to his delight.

Kim Byung Chul Shares Thoughts On Marriage

Although he looks confident outside, Kim Byung Chul is a shy and sweet person in real life.

His "Doctor Cha" co-stars described him as an introverted yet caring person who makes filming fun and entertaining. With this, fans grow curious as to why he's still single.

Kim Byung Chul, because of his rough experiences as a young adult, has focused on earning money and establishing his career. This left no space for romantic trysts and other things.

When asked about marriage, the "Doctor Cha" star believes that it's too late for him now to start his own family. In addition to that, he's also not confident to date due to his physical appearance.

Kim Byung Chul believes that he won't be able to date as he's not conventionally attractive to some. Regarding his ideal type, he is drawn to wise and hardworking people like himself.

Although he's not looking for anything at the moment, the doors to marriage are still open for the actor.
