Yoo Jae Suk Praises Kim Nam Gil's Legendary Action Scenes
On the September 20 broadcast of tvN's "Yoo Quiz on the Block," Kim Nam Gil appeared as the program's celebrity guest. It was also the beginning of his promotion for his drama return with "Song of the Bandits."
During the episode, the program's host Yoo Jae Suk praised Kim Nam Gil's legendary action scenes in his past works. In particular, he mentioned the actor's character Bidam in the series "Queen Seondeok," which made a significant impact at that time.
On top of that, the veteran host also highlighted the award-winning actor's passed audition in 2003, and later on got discovered to play the role of Bidam, after becoming a top-ranked talent.
Kim Nam Gil Expresses True Feelings About BTS Jin's Confession of Considering Him as Role Model
As the interview progressed, Yoo Jae Suk asked about Kim Nam Gil's reactions and feelings when he learned that BTS Jin considered him as a role model after watching him in "Queen Seondeok."
The "Island" lead star responded and humbly said, "It is touching to hear that I became a role model for someone." The celebrity added that he already met Jin in person and spent time together.
Kim Nam Gil mentioned that he shares a similar personalities with Jin, and described the BTS member as talkative yet pure-hearted.

To recall, before enlisting in the military, Kim Seok Jin attended the VIP premiere of the disaster film movie "Emergency Declaration" in which Kim Nam Gil starred. The BTS member created a buzz, as it was his first movie premiere attendance, and finally met some of the top and brilliant actors and actresses in the acting industry.
Kim Seok Jin also showed his support to real-life friend, Kim Nam Gil. There were videos where the latter star was introducing the idol to his colleagues.
Kim Nam Gil Returns With New Netflix Series 'Song of the Bandits'
Furthermore, Kim Nam Gil is making his small screen comeback this September 22 on Netflix with his action series "Song of the Bandits."
He will headline the drama alongside a star-studded cast namely, Yoo Jae Myung, SNSD's Seohyun, Lee Hyun Wook, Lee Ho Jung, Cha Chung Hwa, Cha Yub, Kim Do Yoon, Kim In Woo, and more.
