Shin Se Kyung Shares Affection For 'Arthdal Chronicles 2' Role
After a long time, Shin Se Kyung returned to the acting scene with the much anticipated new season of "Arthdal Chronicles."
She transformed into Tanya, a beautiful hunting warrior, and boasted flawless visuals and improved acting skills which received great reception from the viewers.
Shin Se Kyung told Allure Korea that she experienced many difficulties in immersing herself in her new acting role and with the response she received, she feels nothing but gratefulness.
"Tanya is such a gentle soul but she is also scary," Shin Se Kyung said. "She has the ability to read people's minds. She holds so much power that can also become a source of destruction."

The actress showed her affection for her role by saying that she will always take on the offer to star as Tanya in a heartbeat and without hesitations despite being a huge challenge for her.
When asked her favorite thing about her character, Shin Se Kyung chose Tanya's costume design. She reasoned, "Although it's uncomfortable, it's visually beautiful and unique."
Shin Se Kyung Praises Co-Star Lee Joon Gi's Performance
In the same interview, Shin Se Kyung expressed her gratitude towards "Arthdal Chronicles 2" co-star Lee Joon Gi who made the set more colorful and exciting.
"I admire Joon Gi oppa (older friend) and his golden retriever personality," she revealed. "He made sure the filming was not only seamless but also enjoyable. He took great care of me."
In particular, "Arthdal Chronicles 2" also received great feedback from viewers around the world, thanks to the cast's synergy and top-notch acting.
Shin Se Kyung Reveals Acting Plans This 2023
As "Arthdal Chronicles 2" approaches its conclusion, Shin Se Kyung is now reviewing offers for her potential next project.
According to the actress, she wants to do a work that will certainly be a "hit" with its jam-packed narrative and elements.
"I want to star in a complex work that will push me to do better," Shin Se Kyung said. "Making "too safe" choices is also dangerous so I want to challenge myself now."
On the other hand, Shin Se Kyung's "Arthdal Chronicles 2" airs every weekend at 9:20 p.m. KST on tvN. It's also streaming on Netflix and Disney+ for international audiences.
