Actress Park Bo-young has politely declined an invitation to appear on "SNL Korea," stating that she doesn't yet have the confidence to tackle the show's bold comedic challenges.

During a wrap-up interview for the tvN drama My Unknown Seoul on June 26, the 34-year-old actress addressed comedian Shin Dong-yup's recent request for her to guest star on the late-night sketch show.
The request came the day before at the Blue Dragon Series Awards hand-printing event, where Park initially responded that she would "seriously consider it."
However, the popular actress clarified that her comment was not a firm commitment.
"It's not a promise — I'm just not brave enough yet," she said with a smile.
"That show requires someone who's ready to fully embrace its spirit. You have to be willing to let everything go, and honestly, I don't have that kind of confidence yet. I'm still holding onto a lot."
Park also addressed why she has never thrown a ceremonial first pitch at a professional baseball game, despite her reputation as a devoted fan of the Hanwha Eagles.
"It's kind of the same reason," she said. "I don't want to do it half-heartedly. If I do it, I want to do it properly."
When asked about the Hanwha Eagles' recent winning streak, Park responded lightheartedly, "Ironically, I've distanced myself from baseball lately because it was too painful. Maybe they're doing well because I stepped back."
Despite her absence from the stadium, the actress said she continues to cheer for the team in her own way.
Park Bo-young, who rose to fame through roles in Scandal Makers and Oh My Ghost, is widely admired for her sincerity and down-to-earth personality.
Her reluctance to take part in high-pressure public stunts has only strengthened her bond with fans.
Shin Dong-yup has not responded publicly to Park's comments.
Meanwhile, viewers continue to speculate whether the beloved actress might eventually find the courage to join the "SNL Korea" stage.
For now, Park says she's content supporting from the sidelines — in comedy and in baseball.
