We here at Kdramastars are very much in love with k-dramas. That's probably obvious, right? We obviously watch and enjoy a lot of dramas.

But what we never realized until recently was the way k-dramas have started to influence our buying habits.

The combination of fun scripts, beautiful faces and gorgeous scenery makes a great backdrop for some appealing product placement

Here are five things we were inspired to buy because we saw them on a k-drama. We'll leave out the brand names.

1.     Korean food. There has been a growing interest in Korean food lately and not just among k-drama lovers. But watching k-dramas makes us want to sample every single dish from tteokbokki to jjajangmyeon. That often means commuting to another neighborhood or even city where such food is more plentiful. Next we want to sample the delicious seafood dishes on Jeju Island. "Warm and Cozy is making it look good.

2.     Fashion. We have to admit it. We've had our nails done in a style we saw on a k-drama (Nail Shop Paris). And we've walked past a clothing rack and thought, yes, that coat looks just like the one Park Shin Hye wore in "Pinocchio." It's a must-have item.

3.     Phones. Getting a new phone and realizing that it's just like the one Park Hyung Sik is holding in a scene in "True Romance" or that Infinite's Hoya is holding in "Mask" gave us just a little thrill.

4.     Music. Since k-pop is the background for so many k-dramas, it has come to be the music playing in our lives. And since so many k-drama actors are in bands, it's increasingly where our concert dollars are spent. Sometimes we have to travel to those concerts too.

5.     Travel plans. Besides traveling to concerts and Korean food venues, we've realized how beautiful Korea is by seeing it in so many dramas. The natural landscape is stunning and unique. We may have to visit Jeju Island because of "Warm and Cozy." And there's the architecture. From the ancient temples we see in historical dramas to the futuristic Dongdaemun Plaza, first featured in "You Who Came From The Stars," there's a lot to see. And for the most ardent k-drama lovers, there are tours that take you to the locations the dramas were filmed.

The Korean Tourism Organization offers free advice on where to go and what to see. Let us know if you joined us in spending your money any of these ways.
