Im Soo Jung and Jin Kyung face a sharp conflict of values in the new tvN melodrama "Melancholia."

In the drama, Im Soo Jung plays the role of Ji Yoon Soo, a Mathematics teacher opposite Jin Kyung who will take on the role of the school affair chairwoman of Ahseong High School.

Ji Yoon Soo, a Mathematics teacher who teaches students the joy in learning, is played by seasoned actress Im Soo Jung.

She has the ability to teach students the beauty of Mathematics and help them enter a prestigious university. As a result, parents who want their children to enter a world class university want to join the classes looked over by Ji Yoon Soo in hopes to increase their children's competitiveness in the entrance exams.

On the other hand, No Jung Ah, the chairwoman of Ahseong High School is played by Jin Kyung. She also has the same affection for the students but she has a distinctly different style.

She will do anything, may it be illegal and absurd, just to send the students of Ahseong High School to good universities.
