Red Velvet Yeri and PENTAGON Hongseok To Make Silver Screen Debut With 'Blue Birthday'
Red Velvet Yeri left a great impression with her first acting project with PENTAGON Hongseok in the Playlist Studio original drama "Blue Birthday," which follows the heart-wrenching story between two lovers who meet each other once again through memories.
The drama stars Yeri as Oh Ha Rin, a 29-year-old career-driven woman who hasn't moved on from his deceased boyfriend yet. Opposite Hongseok, who transforms into Yeri's beloved dead significant other.
Because of the drama's commercial success, the production unit of "Blue Birthday" teams up with CGV to release the drama into an hour-long film in theaters.

CGV partnered with drama productions to release South Korean dramas as a feature film format. A series tends to heighten suspense and cliffhangers as it airs only one to two episodes weekly. CGV aims to cater to the preferences of the people who want to watch the whole story in one sitting on the big screen.
Since the film version airs after the drama finished airing, never-before-seen scenes are included in the film.
'Blue Birthday' Premiere Date and Further Details
Red Velvet Yeri and PENTAGON Hongseok's "Blue Birthday" depicts the tragic and romantic story of Oh Ha Rin and Ji Seo Joon. It shows the struggles in finding the truth behind the incident that happened to Seo Joon 10 years ago to appease the present.
CGV teamed up with Playlist Studios to give birth to the "Blue Birthday" film version. The production unit guarantees high quality and unique watching experience that evokes emotions from the drama.
